Biography
Nicol C. Lewis serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Columbus State University, where she leads the strategy to safeguard the university’s academic and operational data while ensuring secure access in alignment with 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× and University System of Georgia policies. Since joining 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× in May 2021, she has brought more than 25 years of experience in technology leadership, specializing in data security, cybersecurity, enterprise-wide risk management, compliance, and business continuity.
Prior to 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, Nicol served as Chief Information Security Officer for the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, and held senior information security leadership roles with the Georgia Technology Authority and the Georgia Public Library Service. Her career reflects a proven record of building resilient security programs, advancing organizational compliance, and aligning technology with mission-driven goals.
She is a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (EC-Council), a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (ISACA), and a graduate of the Georgia Cybersecurity Academy.
